Live Remote Captioning (LRC)

Live Remote Captioning (LRC) delivers real-time captioning remotely through the use of specialist technology. As with Electronic Notetaking this is not a verbatim service, rather it enables a summary of the spoken word to be converted remotely into text. This text is then displayed in real time on a screen via a secure website.

As LRC is a remote service utilising specialist technology, it is also more flexible to the end user who can be located anywhere in the world - all they need is internet and phone access (either Landline or Skype). Alongside this, the use of this remote service means that the notetaker does not require to travel to the event in person and so would not incur travelling costs - this would be a cost saving for the client.
