About

The founder of noteable is Rhoda Healey who, as a qualified nurse, worked for a number of years in the community specialising in health promotion of the older person.

During this time Rhoda observed that many older people, who had lost their ability to communicate, responded well to musical activities. As a music teacher of piano and violin, (which she had taught for many years) that was of particular interest to her.

From these dual careers, in health and music, was birthed a passion to see music being used for the well-being of communities.

Following the recent and successful completion of a Diploma in Music Therapy, Rhoda founded noteable which now gives a clear identity to her work as a music teacher and the delivery of therapeutic music sessions to the older person, either in residential care or their own homes – and in particular those with dementia.

Rhoda has been involved in a number of music related community projects over the last 30 years and has been a member of orchestras for the last eight years.

Rhoda is a member of Sound Sense.
